（中央社休士頓15日綜合外電報導）美國一片天寒地凍，最大產油州德州能源業深受其害，油井與煉油廠停產，電力供應商輪流限電，至今已有近300萬戶停電。總統拜登已發布緊急狀態，鬆綁聯邦對德州的援助。
德州每天生產約460萬桶石油，也是國內一些大型煉油廠的所在地，但西德州頁岩油重鎮米德蘭（Midland）卻是冰天雪地，不僅降雪量空前，溫度更是寫下32年新低，辦公室與公司都因此停擺。
氣溫明天預料會稍微攀升到零度以上。

德州能源主管機關今天表示：「一些產油商，特別是二疊紀盆地（Permian Basin）與狹長地帶（Panhandle）的油商，正經歷前所未見的極凍狀態，不僅對員工安危帶來疑慮，也影響生產。」
消息人士表示，莫帝瓦公司（Motiva Enterprises LLC）將關閉位於德州阿瑟港（Port Arthur）、日產60 萬7000桶石油的國內最大煉油廠，瓦勒羅能源公司（Valero Energy Corp.）與道達爾集團（Total SE）分別關閉在阿瑟港日產33萬5000桶與22萬5000桶的廠房。
