URGENT PETITION! Urge Your Members of Congress to Support S.Res.86 & H.Res.148 to Counter China’s False Claims over Taiwan!
Dear all,
Senate Resolution 86 (S.Res.86) and House Resolution 148 (H.Res.148) seek to counter China’s distortion of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Resolution 2758 and its misuse of the U.S. “One China policy” to falsely assert sovereignty over Taiwan and isolate it internationally.
This bipartisan, bicameral resolution clarifies that UNGA Resolution 2758 and the U.S. “One China policy” — along with similar policies of U.S. partners — are not equivalent and do not endorse the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC) “One China principle,” which falsely claims that “Taiwan is an inalienable part of China.”
It is essential for Congress to unequivocally affirm that the U.S. has never recognized the PRC’s territorial claim over Taiwan and to strongly oppose China’s coercion and intimidation aimed at blocking Taiwan’s participation on the international stage.

美國參議院第86號決議案（S.Res.86）與眾議院第148號決議案（H.Res.148）旨在反制中國對聯合國大會第2758號決議的扭曲解釋及其對美國「一中政策」的濫用。中國藉此惡意操弄，錯誤宣稱對台灣擁有主權，並進一步孤立台灣於國際社會。
這項決議案明確指出，聯大第2758號決議與美國的「一中政策」（以及美國友邦的類似政策）既不等同、亦不承認中華人民共和國所主張的「一中原則」。該虛構的原則毫無根據地聲稱「台灣是中國不可分割的一部分」。
美國國會必須明確重申，美國從未承認中華人民共和國對台灣的領土主張，並堅決反對中國以脅迫和恐嚇手段阻撓台灣參與國際社會。
