由於台灣會館將在近期拆除並進行原地重建，所以這將是FAPA洛杉磯分會最後一次在 Taiwan Center Foundation of Greater Los Angeles 大洛杉磯台灣會館的現有場所舉辦的跨族裔《台灣228政府暴行避免研討會》！
感謝洛杉磯台美人和支持民主的各界8年來的支持，讓FAPA得以落實一個很有意義的目標，就是不再讓228事件淪為僅有台灣人悼念的自家事。這項活動在過去8年風雨無阻地舉辦，即使疫情也沒有停過，就是要彰顯228歷史悲劇需要國際友人認識的重要性。同時，台美人也應該更加了解其他族裔遭受的政府暴行歷史，大家藉著珍惜生命和人權來一起走出歷史陰霾。
2025的《台灣228政府暴行避免研討會》將在2/23禮拜日的下午1點半於洛杉磯台灣會館（3001 Walnut Grove， Rosemead CA 91770）舉行，我們邀請各位和與會嘉賓們一起走出自己，超越台灣。
本活動為大洛杉磯二二八追思會系列活動之一。
今年參加的族群代表有台灣、#香港、 #越南、#西語裔、#維吾爾族（#Uyghur)及 #緬甸和羅興亞民族（#Rohingya)，共7個族群代表，來講述各民族過去被政府壓迫的歷史。希望在LA的台美同鄉們能在2月23日那天能踴躍參加！

Extra! Due to the upcoming demolition and redevelopment of the Taiwan Center, this will be the last time that FAPA’s Los Angeles Chapter hosts the cross-ethnic “Taiwan 228 Government Atrocities Prevention Seminar” at the existing Taiwan Center Foundation of Greater Los Angeles!
We thank the Taiwanese Americans in Los Angeles and supporters of democracy for their support over the past eight years, which has allowed FAPA to achieve a significant goal: to prevent the 228 incident from being regarded as merely a matter for Taiwanese people to mourn alone.
This event has been held consistently over the past eight years, even during the pandemic, to highlight the importance of international awareness regarding the historical tragedy of 228. Additionally, Taiwanese Americans should also better understand the history of government atrocities faced by other ethnic groups, coming together to move out of the shadows of history by cherishing life and human rights.
The 2025 “Taiwan 228 Government Atrocities Prevention Seminar” will be held on Sunday, February 23rd at 1:30 PM at the Los Angeles Taiwan Center (3001 Walnut Grove, Rosemead CA 91770). We invite everyone and our distinguished guests to step beyond themselves and transcend Taiwan.
The participating ethnic representatives this year include Taiwan, HongKong, Vietnam, Hispanics, Uyghur, and Myanmar and Rohingya, representing a total of 7 ethnic groups to share the history of governmental oppression experienced by each. We hope that Taiwanese Americans in LA will actively participate on February 23!

This event is part of the Greater Los Angeles 228 Commemoration series. The seminar will have a Q&A session after the speakers’ presentations, time permitting, allowing the community to respond or share. Don’t miss out!
